Škoda Roomster and Škoda Yeti achieve the lowest emission levels in their categories
GreenLine technology available for all Škoda model series

Mladá Boleslav, September 29th, 2010 – Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the second generation GreenLine versions will again make significant gains regarding fuel economy and will achieve the best emission levels worldwide: The compact MPV Roomster GreenLine records the absolute standard in its class with 109 g/km of CO2 emissions; with a fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters/100 km, it is also the most fuel efficient vehicle in the MPV category. With the new Yeti GreenLine, Škoda proves that even vehicles in the SUV category may be economical and environmentally friendly. 119 g/km of CO2 mark the lowest emission value in the SUV segment. The Škoda Yeti GreenLine only requires 4.6 liters for 100 km.

Overall, eight different GreenLine models of the second generation are offered, with at least one vehicle in each model series. Thus, Škoda Auto presents a complete portfolio of particularly fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles at the Paris Motor Show. The GreenLine versions of the Yeti and the Superb Combi are presented for the first time.

State-of-the-art engines and innovative solutions such as the start-stop system or the recuperation of brake energy are the most important technological measures for reducing fuel consumption. Furthermore, the GreenLine models also stand out due to such elements as tyres with a lower roll resistance, adjustment of the engine control unit, aerodynamic modification on the vehicle body and chassis, as well as a gear recommendation on the instrument panel. The basic engine types of the GreenLine family consist of the diesel units 1.6 TDI CR DPF 77 kW (Octavia, Yeti and Superb) and 1.2 TDI CR DPF 55 kW (Fabia and Roomster). Both engines use common-rail fuel injection and are fitted with a diesel particulate filter as a standard.

Note: All consumption data refer to the combined fuel consumption in accordance with standard EU measurements.
