Mladá Boleslav, 19th June, 2012 – The ŠKODA Motorsport team is going to make its third concurrent appearance in two rallies this year. Taking place in Belgium over the upcoming weekend, the Ypres Rally will see Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula (FIN) fight for both IRC and European Championship points. At the same time, their Czech team-mates, Jan Kopecký & Pavel Dresler, will be in Hustopeče to take part in the fifth event of this year's Czech Championship.

As the Ypres Rally in Belgium is part of two championships, Hänninen & Markkula have two missions – to win as many points as possible in the Manufacturers category of the IRC Championship and remain top of the Drivers category of the European Championship.

Aware of his responsibility, Juho Hänninen comments: "Our ambition is to win as many points as possible in Belgium. Ypres is a specific rally full of long straight stretches requiring utmost concentration and commitment. It is also an event where Mikko and I did not do really well in the past, so we want to be more successful this year."

Hoping to please their Czech fans, Kopecký & Dresler will have a clear ambition on the Hustopeče track. The factory crew have won all of the four events of this year's Czech Championship events, and they want to continue their success story.

Jan Kopecký is likely to face fierce attacks from his rivals who want to beat him in Hustopeče to spoil his this year's hundred-percent success rate: "Our results in this year's Czech Championship have indeed been great, and we want to continue this trend. We know that every string of victories has its end, but we want to make it as long as possible. We have lovely memories of Hustopeče thanks to our last year's victory, and we want to refresh those memories now."
