Mladá Boleslav, June 29th, 2012 – World champions, Le Mans winners, Formula 1 drivers – the legendary Festival of Speed attracts hundreds of VIPs and over 100 thousand spectators to Goodwood in southern England ever year. This year's list of participants includes drivers of ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000s – reigning IRC Champion Andreas Mikkelsen of ŠKODA UK Motorsport, as well as Juho Hänninen and Jan Kopecký of ŠKODA Motorsport, the Czech-based factory team.

A 1.7-km-long uphill track in Goodwood, Sussex attracts a large number of vintage cars, race cars of all categories and hundreds of VIPs every year. Visitors are allowed to enter all drivers' zones during the event and meet big names of motorsport in person. The motto of this year's festival is "Young Guns – Born to Win".

Juho Hänninen and Jan Kopecký are looking forward to a great spectacle: "It will undoubtedly be a great weekend. A mix of fascinating motorsport and a large number of VIPs is what makes the Festival of Speed a unique event. I am looking forward to taking part and also meeting with many of my colleagues and fans," says SWRC and IRC Champion Juho Hänninen (FIN). Jan Kopecký adds: "Motorsport involves strong emotions, and it's great to share exciting experiences and the thrill of this fascinating sport with so many fans in this very special place, off the ordinary race tracks. This is where you can really touch motorsport, and that is what makes 'Goodwood' a really unique experience."

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the climaxes of the motorsport calendar. Besides watching an uphill race that is not really the main item on the agenda, the visitors can admire a large number of sports cars, race motorcycles and rally cars of all areas of the motorsport history. Since 2007, the event includes a "Forest Rally" for rally specials – a 2.5-km-long stage on a gravel forest road.
