Mladá Boleslav/Frankfurt, 13 September, 2011 – ŠKODA is extending its mobile portfolio of information for media. The ŠKODA Media Services application is now available also to journalists who use mobile devices with the Android operating system. ŠKODA is thus increasing the availability of its services that have so far been accessible exclusively via devices fitted with the iOS (Apple) operating system. The new extension will be launched upon the opening of the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA).

By becoming accessible to Android users, the ŠKODA Media Services is establishing communication with the fastest growing mobile platform. The design and functionality are the same as with the iPhone and iPad. With optimised intuitive control, the application is easy-to-use, and the push notification feature ensures that the user does not miss any news. The current number of new items is displayed on the device. Furthermore, the application includes numerous additional pieces of information about the brand and its products, as well as a multimedia portfolio including photographs and mobile images. Last but not least, the users can download a complete press map for IAA, too.
