Mladá Boleslav, 8 April, 2013 – The Portugal rally will see the "young guns" in ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000s in action. Sepp Wiegand & Frank Christian, the current leaders of the WRC2, are eager to win some more points, and so are Esapekka Lappi & Janne Ferm, ŠKODA´s factory crew.

Esapekka Lappi had bad luck in his debut in Monte Carlo and is looking forward a great deal to his second appearance in this year´s WRC-2: "We can´t wait to be standing on the start line, the break after Monte Carlo has been long. I like gravel, but I´ve never done any rally on a gravel track similar to that in Portugal. It is a challenge, mainly in terms of grip, with loads of dust everywhere. We want to show our strength, though".

So far, this season of the WRC-2 has been a success story for Germany´s Sepp Wiegand & Frank Christian who are top of the standings in the Drivers category: "We are looking forward a great deal to Portugal – gravel at length after two winter events! Although it´s my first appearance here, our ambition is to win as many points as possible."

After snow and ice in Monte Carlo and Sweden, the crews will spend three difficult days on gravel tracks in the area of Algarve – from Friday till Sunday, a total of 387 special-stage kilometres, 15 special stages and 1,253 liaison kilometres.
