The company wins the renowned distinction for the tenth time

International conference "KEY FACTORS OF SUCCESS"

Prague/Mladá Boleslav, November 26, 2010 – Within the framework of the survey "Czech Best 100", Škoda Auto has been voted the best company in the Czech Republic. The award has been presented by the "Pan European Society for Culture, Education, Scientific and Technical Cooperation" since 1996 and is regarded as the most prestigious award for Czech companies. Škoda Auto has won first place for the tenth time overall, while the company has also been runner-up five times. In the runup to the award ceremony, the international conference KEY FACTORS OF SUCCESS" took place in Prague today.

"I'm delighted that I – representing the entire Škoda family and our almost 30,000 employees – can accept this award. It fills us with pride and expresses the great success of the company during the past 20 years in particular. At the same time, we recognize the award as an incentive for the coming years", said Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, chairman of the board of Škoda Auto a.s. "In the next few years, we want to grow significantly and double our worldwide sales until 2018. In doing so, the capability of our entire team is our greatest strength. Škoda Auto is a committed and ambitious team with top engineers, amazing designers, outstanding businesspeople, and many thousands of committed and motivated employees on the assembly line", Vahland said.

Every year, the competition "CZECH BEST 100" honors companies for extraordinary results.

The festive award ceremony will commence this evening at 7:00 PM in the presence of the President of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus. The event in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle will also be attended by members of the government and other prominent representatives of industry, politics, and society.
