Mladá Boleslav, September 3rd, 2012 – "trendence Graduate Barometer" ranks ŠKODA AUTO third-most attractive employer in the Czech Republic in 2012, handing the company the title of "advancer of the year." In addition, ŠKODA scored tops in the individual categories of "Best human resources advertising," "Best recruiter" and "Best career fair presence."

In all, around 10,200 close-to-graduation and graduate business, engineering and IT students from 22 academic institutions in the Czech Republic took part in the poll. When asked about the best employer, 12.4 per cent named ŠKODA, putting the company in third place both overall and by individual majors. This is a significant improvement from the previous year, resulting in ŠKODA clearly clinching the "advancer of the year" title.

"We are very pleased at ŠKODA's ranking among the top three most attractive employers in the Czech Republic," said Bohdan Wojnar, ŠKODA board member for human resources. "ŠKODA advanced in all relevant fields, which shows that our extensive activities in strengthening our attractiveness as an employer are paying off. We need a top team for our growth plans. We are continually improving our staff's skills level, but in addition, we are also hiring external talent. This makes it all the more important that potential candidates have a positive opinion about ŠKODA as a company," said Wojnar.

In addition, ŠKODA took first place in three of the study's individual rankings. The top spot in the "Best human resources advertising" honours the 2011 human resources marketing film "Curriculum Vitae". ŠKODA also took the crown in the "Best recruiter" category. Finally, the company's appearances at recruiting fairs earned it the victory in the "Best career fair presence" category

"trendence", a research institute, has been compiling the "trendence Graduate Barometer" in 27 European countries since 1999. In all, more than 530,000 close-to-graduation and graduate students take part every year, with specific results being published for each individual country.

ŠKODA's excellent performance in the "trendence Graduate Barometer" is yet more evidence of the company's attractiveness as an employer. In 2011 alone, core staff headcount at ŠKODA rose by eight per cent to a new record of over 25,800. Also, ŠKODA's staff is becoming more and more international, with individuals from a current total of 37 countries working for ŠKODA.
