Škoda Auto launched series production of two new versions of its popular Škody Fabia this June. From the middle of 2010, customers in the Czech Republic can buy the Fabia RS and Fabia Combi RS (sports models) and the second-generation Fabia Combi GreenLine (Škoda's environmentally friendly model line).

Škoda Auto introduced the aggressive Fabia RS and Fabia Combi RS at the Geneva International Motor Show. For the first time ever, both RS versions are fitted with a four-cylinder 1.4-litre petrol engine with double supercharging (132 kW/180 k). With a consumption of only 6.4l/100 km, the Fabia RS offers a combination of high power and economical operation. And there is another first – the sports version of the manufacturer's smallest model is now also available as an estate (Combi).

Two years after the launch of the Fabia GreenLine, the Czech Republic's biggest car manufacturer is launching the second generation of its environmentally friendly cars. The Škoda Fabia Combi GreenLine II is coming with a number of technological innovations, including, in particular, a new engine with high-pressure direct injection (common rail, 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW), Start-Stop, braking energy recovery, a system that recommends engaging the respective gears on a Maxi DOT display, and more. The engine of the Fabia Combi GreenLine II boasts a consumption of just 3.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of only 89 g/km.
