Valašské Meziříčí, 24 March, 2012 – Leading from start to finish, Jan Kopecký & Pavel Dresler of ŠKODA Motorsport (factory team) won the second event of the Czech Rally Championship. Just like in the opening event of the Czech Championship (the Jänner Rally in January) and in the IRC event in the Canary Islands last week, ŠKODA Motorsport's crew beat all their rivals.

Kopecký & Dresler have shown they are indeed in great form and that they are the hottest favourites for winning the Czech Championship. They set the pace right at the beginning and then just kept increasing their lead until the end. ŠKODA Motorsport's crew have appeared in three rally events this year (Jänner Rally, Canary Islands, Wallachian Rally) to win all of them. Reigning Czech champion Roman Kresta in a private Fabiía Super 2000 came second today.

Jan Kopecký: "We are absolutely satisfied, because we have won all this year's events. And we are also pleased to have given a very good performance to our home fans today. I wish to thank the whole team, we have a busy agenda and all the team members are supporting us excellently."

The Czech Rally Championship continues with the Šumava Rally (3rd event) over April 20-21.
