Mladá Boleslav, April 3rd, 2011 – The winners of the first international "Škoda Service Challenge" have been chosen: Yesterday in Prague, Imrich Szaniszlo from Slovakia (a customer service agent) and Jaroslav Kaprálik from Slovakia (a service technician) received the awards as the best in the world in their respective categories. They had previously been victorious in national competitions and had beaten a strong competition from a total of 31 finalist countries in the final that took place in Prague and Mladá Boleslav from March 31 to April 3, 2011. The winners received a prize.
"Quality in the area of service and customer service is fundamental for the satisfaction of our customers," emphasized Jürgen Stackmann, the Škoda board member for sales and marketing. "Our dealers and workshops in the international markets prove their capability day for day and their work makes a strong contribution to the high reputation of Škoda throughout the world. In daily contact with the customer, they are important ambassadors of our brand. The participants of the first 'Škoda Service Challenge' and this year's winners in particular have given an impressive demonstration of their outstanding competences. Implementing these competences in the daily work in customer service and service is a permanent challenge that our partners master in an excellent way," Stackmann continued.
There was one key point where the participants in the competition had to prove their abilities in the field of diagnostic technology. Roman Havlásek, head of the customer service department, explains: "It was the work with the diagnostic device for the vehicle technology where the participants particularly demonstrated, what they can do. Fixing the reproduced fault required a perfect knowledge of the device and the vehicle. It was really the best of the best who won."
The 'Škoda Service Challenge' is a knowledge contest in the area of customer service and service that was organized by Škoda for the first time last year, specifically for employees working in these areas. Participants from all over the world must solve theoretical and practical tasks from their areas of work and their occupational field. The national competitions in a total of 39 countries lasted for one year and were followed by the four-day finale that just ended and included the respective national winners.
