Mladá Boleslav, 13 July, 2013 –ŠKODA Motorsport´s Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler (factory team) top the standings after Day 1 of the 40th Bohemia Rally. After today´s final super special stage on the Autodrome site in Sosnová, Kopecký/Dresler are 16.3 s ahead of the runners-up.
ŠKODA Motorsport´s Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler won six of the total of thirteen special stages of Leg 1 of this year´s Bohemia Rally to top the standings after Day 1 –Václav Pech in a Mini is second, Roman Kresta in a private Fabia Super 2000 is third.
Commenting on the factory crew´s performance halfway through the event, Jan Kopecký says: "It is becoming obvious that this rally will be a fierce fight until the end. Generally, the speed is high, but we do not take unnecessary risk. Tomorrow´s programme includes long special stages that will undoubtedly be the decisive factor of the entire event".
The final day will offer five special stages in total, including two runs through Sychrov, the longest stage of the whole event (27. 76 kilometres). The winner of this year´s Bohemia Rally will be known after an attractive stage to take place in the streets of Mladá Boleslav (Staroměstská).
