Mladá Boleslav, February 3, 2011 – The winterly roadshow "4x4 Škoda Park" is about to start its second half. For a total of 17 weeks – from December 18, 2010, until March 6, 2011 – the manufacturer will offer an attractive entertainment program for the entire family including selected Czech winter sports as well as the opportunity to get to know the all-wheel vehicles of the brand. With great success: almost 12,000 visitors at five locations have experienced the combination of vehicle presentation and sporty program so far. Within the course of test drives, nearly 400 drivers were able to experience the outstanding handling and comfort characteristics of the Škoda all-wheelers.
Within the framework of the event, outdoor parks are set up at central locations at the respective skiing center. Visitors experience a sporting-entertaining afternoon with many attractions. At the same time, they have the opportunity to test the wide range of Škoda models with all-wheel drive: the Octavia Combi 4x4, Octavia Scout, Yeti 4x4, Yeti Champion, Superb 4x4, and the Superb Combi 4x4. So far, the Škoda Yeti – the first Czech SUV – has received the most attention.
"With the "4x4 Škoda Park", we want to address as many visitors of the ski resorts as possible and give them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with our all-wheel models and to subject them to a personal road test. The visitors' response been very positive," explains Jan Hurt, the Škoda sales manager for the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
The attractive supporting program – including a ski-cross slalom, a slalom for children, or a giant jigsaw puzzle, for example – is very popular as well. Within the course of competitions and lotteries, attractive prizes can be won: among others, there is a trip to Lapland or the use of a Škoda vehicle. The musical supporting program for the 4x4 Škoda Park consists of the bands Nightwork and Charlie Straight. Martin Dejdar and Adéla Gondíková alternate in presenting the show.
The 4x4 Škoda Park will continue its tour beginning next weekend: on Saturday, February 5, the roadshow will put in a stop in the ski area at Klínovec in the Ore Mountains and on Sunday, February 6, in Bublava.
